Grup Yorum is a Turkish left-wing, political rock band from Istanbul. Their song, "Berivan" was released on their album İnadına Yaşam (2016).
The genre of the song is folk punk and it was written by members of Grup Yorum: Helin Bölek, Ali Çiçek and Cengiz Özkan. It was composed by Uğur Şahin who is also one of the members of the group. The lyrics of Berivan contain strong messages about freedom and peace, as well as social justice in Turkey. They are often seen protesting against the government's policies and have been subject to police raids and arrests for their activism. Despite this, they continue to perform and spread their message through their music. In addition to their albums, Grup Yorum has also produced several live concerts which attract thousands of people every year.
