Kent is a Swedish alternative rock band formed in Eskilstuna, Sweden in 1990. Their most successful single to date was "Vinternoll2", released on April 7th, 1998 as part of the fifth album Isola.
The song was written by Joakim Berg and Martin Sköld and produced by Kent, with lyrics that reflect a sense of nostalgia for childhood memories. The song quickly topped the Swedish Singles Chart and has since become one of the best-known songs of the band. The band's sixth studio album, Du & Jag Döden, was released on May 17th, 2005. It featured the singles "Max 500" and "FF". Written by Joakim Berg, Martin Sköld, Sami Sirviö, Harri Mänty, Markus Mustonen and Mikael Jorgensen, the song became an instant hit and its lyrics have been praised for their poetic imagery.
