X JAPAN is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 1982 by Yoshiki Hayashi, Toshimitsu "Toshi" Deyama and Tomoaki "Pata" Ishizuka. The song I'LL KILL YOU was released as part of their album Blue Blood on March 14th, 1989.
It is considered one of the most iconic songs from X Japan and has been performed at many concerts since its release. The lyrics were written by Toshi and the music was composed by Yoshiki. Other members included Hide and Taiji Sawada. The song combines elements of hard rock and power ballad with powerful vocals and guitar solos which have become trademarks of X Japan's sound.
