The Gipsy Kings are a popular French-based flamenco, salsa and pop group from Arles and Montpellier, France. The band was formed by two sets of brothers: the Reyes and the Baliardos.
Their most famous song Medley (Bamboleo, Volare, Djobi etc.) is part of their fifth studio album, Mosaique, released in 1993. This album includes some of their biggest hits such as "Baila Me" and "Djobi Djoba". The genre of this medley is Flamenco Pop, which combines traditional Spanish music with modern pop elements. The lyrics for this track were written by Chico Bouchikhi and Nicolas Reyes. Band members include lead singers Chico Bouchikhi and Nicolas Reyes, guitarists Tonino Baliardo and Paco Baliardo, bassist Andre Reyes, percussionist Canut Reyes, and violinist Diego Baliardo. This medley has become one of the most iconic songs of the Gipsy Kings, featuring some of their greatest hits like “Volare”, “Bamboleo” and “Djobi Djoba”.
