Ottawan is a French disco group formed in 1979 by Jean Patrick and Hervé Tholance. The band's most famous song, "D.I.S.C.O." was released as part of their debut album Ottawan 2 on April 15th 1980.
It reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and number 1 in France and Germany. The genre of the song is Euro Disco/Disco Pop and it was written by Daniel Vangarde and Jean Kluger. The members of the band included Jean Patrick (vocals), Hervé Tholance (guitar, bass), Corinne Gfeller (keyboards, backing vocals) and Yves Michaud (drums).
